Tow Truck Operator – Heavy Duty Class A CDL

This role is responsible for responding to complex towing and recovery situations involving anything from light/ medium towing to heavy-duty wrecker tows, large commercial vehicles, accident scenes, etc.

Our operators are problem-solvers, professionals, and often first responders in critical situations—delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service to our customers and community.

Responsibilities

In addition to light and medium duty auto and truck tows, you will operate heavy-duty wreckers to tow and recover:

• Semi-trucks and trailers
• Buses and large commercial vehicles
• Perform advanced recovery operations including winching, uprighting, and load shifts
• Respond to accident scenes, breakdowns, and emergency roadside situations
• Secure vehicles and cargo safely to prevent further damage
• Communicate with dispatch and law enforcement professionally
• Complete accurate service documentation and reports
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked truck

What We’re Looking For

• Valid CDL – Class A with acceptable driving record
• Experience in heavy-duty towing
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in high-pressure, physically demanding environments
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and on-call rotations (approx. every 6th week)
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork
