Summary:
This position is responsible for loading, securing and transporting crashed or damaged vehicles while safely operating a 4-car hauler throughout Wisconsin.
Responsibilities:
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles using a 4-car auto hauler
- Complete required transport paperwork
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures
- Plan efficient in-state routes and meet delivery schedules
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned truck and trailer
- Document any vehicle condition issues, damages, or delays immediately
Qualifications
- Possess a valid Class A CDL License or a Class B License and willing to attend classes to get a CDL A within 6 months.
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of Class A or B Commercial Driving Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year Car Hauling Experience preferred
- Ability to drive manual transmission or willing to learn
- Clean driving record and strong work ethic
- Ability to safely load, secure, and transport vehicles
- Proven experience with Flatbed with a valid driver’s license
- Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation systems.
- Ability to operate Rollback and Wheel lift/ self-loader
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail for safety inspections and transport
- Must be able to bend, kneel, twist, squat, stand and climb as required to secure load
- Requires standing, stretching, walking, stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an outdoor environment.
- Good vision, including depth perception and peripheral vision, to navigate roads safely and inspect vehicles for damage or defects during loading and unloading procedures
