This position safely and accurately performs vehicle maintenance & repair duties in and around the shop operations and a vital role in ensuring our fleet of medium- heavy-duty trucks remain in top condition.
Job Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair automobiles, light, medium, and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
· Perform all assigned planned maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
Duties:
- Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections according to manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Replace or repair damaged or worn parts, including brakes, axles, suspension systems, and lighting.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have good written/verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate a variety of vehicles.
- Previous heavy duty repair experience, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment.
- CDL is highly preferred.
- Own tools and box preferred.
