Tow Truck Operator – Bret’s Towing

Bret’s Towing and Auto/Truck Repair in Manitowoc, is looking for an experience tow truck operator to join the Bret’s team.

Duties:

• Safely operate company tow trucks without causing damage to vehicles in tow.
• Perform pre and post trip inspections to ensure towed vehicles are not damaged.
• Complete shift inspections ensure tow trucks are in good working order and comply with all safety requirements.
• Collaborate with Dispatch Team and Supervisor.
• Record all pickup and delivery events, and capture all necessary information, including images.
• Maintain towing equipment and accessories, perform daily inventory.
• Other duties as assigned per business needs.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. CDL strongly desired.
• Tow truck experience is required.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate various types of tow trucks.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to load, unload, and secure vehicles onto the tow truck or flatbed safely.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics and electrical systems.
• Good communication skills.
• Be able to pass a background check.
• Be able to pass a drug test.

Pay: $22 – $24 per hour depending on experience
